RAW Newsletter: Week 4

Hi to all our RAW members,
As we reach the end of the first half of the term scheduling, we're excited to share all our updates with you. Firstly, we would like to thank all our pilot show week hosts for their contribution to radio and we hope to see you hosting in week 5 onwards! You can reapply for your show below.
Outside of our shows, we have lots of socials planned for each week. Social events are a great way to get to know other hosts and guests from radio and get to know people outside your degree and flat!
These newsletters incude everything you need to know to get involved with radio and we'll be sending them out regularly to keep you updated with all our socials, applications, special events and exec updates.
Keep an eye out for the next newsletter as we send out all the information about RAW Charity Week and how to get involved!

Show Applications for weeks 5–10 are now open until October 31st
|

Whether you've hosted before or you want to try something new, we're open to anyone who wants to start their own show! You can apply for regular, weekly shows or a one-off show for special occasions or specific topics!

Join us to celebrate bonfire night at Leamington rugby club!! £5 cash entry at the gate or £20 if ur coming in a car.
We will meet by the gates at 6:45 pm and the fireworks begin at 7:30 pm 🎇🍎🍂🎆🧣🍁

We're giving all our shows the chance to create a show page on the website.
|
Show Pages can be a great way to interact with your audience beyond your show slot. You can use your show page to post weekly updates, add a more extensive show description and add it to your experience if you'd like to work in the media industry!
On your show page you could add for example:
- Embedded Spotify Playlists
- Polls, questionaires for your listeners
- Videos or pictures from your show
- Forms, guests recruitment
You can upload a google doc on your show application, or upload it into the folder linked below.

Message from RAW Production
The pilot show recordings should now be with you if you hosted a pilot show. If you had any show highlights from this term, please send in clips for the Station Ad and the RAW Weekly Recap

Music Uploads
If you are hosting a show with music uploads, remember to upload your music to the correct drive folder over 24 hours before your show. Your files must be correctly formatted or they will not be uploaded
|
|
|
|
|
Upcoming RAW Development Sessions
|
|
Week 5 Saturday: "PlayIt Live Workshop" - would you like to learn how to transition music, create show plans and use presenter tools on our system? Come to this workshop (highly recommended for music hosts)
Week 7 Weekend: "Production Stabs Workshop" - do you want your own show advert on the system or to create music introduction sound bites? Come to this workshop! PS you could even end up on the Station Ad!
